Convenience. Perhaps the biggest benefit, and one that many guests would happily pay for, is convenience. For those of you who hate to drive while on vacation you can travel from your hotel to any of the parks using free Disney World transportation. There are even some hotels from which you can simply take a leisurely stroll right to the park entrance.
- Free Parking. If you prefer to get around the resort under your own steam you can park your car for free in any of the parking lots. This perk will save you about $11 a day.
- Extra Magic Hours. As a Resort guest you are invited to enter a designated park an hour earlier than day guests, or stay behind up to three hours after park closing. If you have limited days to spend at the parks, or you are travelling in low season when the parks close earlier this perk can give you extra valuable time in the theme parks.
- Preferential Tee Times. If you are planning on playing a lot of golf during your vacation you can take advantage of preferential treatment at the golf courses.
- Guaranteed Theme Park Admission. This benefit is most important if you are travelling during peak seasons such as Christmas. If the park has unusually heavy attendance it may be closed to day guests, but as a resort guest you will be guaranteed admission.
- Babysitting options. Most of the Disney hotels and campgrounds have childcare options including kids clubs and in-room babysitting; useful if you want an evening of adult time.
- Children share for free. If you have children under the age of 18 and you don't mind sharing your room for you then they will lodge for free which could save you a fair few dollars.
